Instron Testing Design

This project was completed for Engineering Design II. Our goal was to create a structure that would undergo a deflection of 0.5 inch when 200 pounds of force was applied by an Instron machine. We utilized mathematical and CAD analytical techniques for this design, and then put our calculations to the test using a water-jet cut aluminum model. This was a great exercise in better understanding CAD software and how to analyze and verify the results.
